Day 1 Depart from your gateway city to Israel. Day 2: Arrival to Israel Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport where you will be met by our Israeli guide who will accompany you during your entire stay in Israel. Travel by the old city of Lydia (Acts 9; 32-35) to your hotel for one night in the coastal area of Tel Aviv. The remainder of the day is free to walk along the Mediterranean, relax and have dinner. After dinner, we have an orientation in hotel banquet room. Day 3: Caesarea, Cana, and Galilee After breakfast, we travel along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to Caesarea, where Gentiles first heard the Good News from Peter and were baptized. See the Roman Amphitheater and aqueduct. Continue to Haifa the city built on Mount Carmel. Then travel to Muchraka site on Mt. Carmel, where Elijah hid from King Ahab and later on fought the false Baal prophets. From Muchraka we will enjoy the view of the entire Jezreel Valley. Continue on to Megiddo where archaeologists have unearthed 20 levels of civilization. Biblical Megiddo is the traditional site of Armageddon. Then continue along the Galilee hills to Tiberias. Day 4: The ministry of Jesus Following breakfast, enjoy a relaxing cruise on the Sea of Galilee with easy viewing of the nearby Golan Heights brings to life the experiences of the fishermen disciples. In Capernaum visit the ruins of an ancient synagogue and Peter’s home. Then travel on to Tabgha the site of the multiplication of loaves and fishes and the Mount of the Beatitudes overlooking the Sea where our guide will reenact Jesus’ famous “Sermon on the Mount”. Drive to Yardenit the Jordan River Baptismal site and dip or immerse at these holy water. Return to Tiberias. This evening we may enjoy an optional Multi-media presentation - the “Galilee Experience”, an entertaining, educational and enriching experience not to be missed. Day 5: Nazareth, the road to Jerusalem Begin the day with a visit to Cana site of the first miracle which has taken place at the wedding feast and an opportunity to renew your wedding vows. Then continue to Nazareth, the birthplace of Jesus also visiting Mary’s well, St Joseph workshop and the annunciation site. Then turn southward to Beit-Shean/Scythopolis - The most magnificent archeological site in Israel, located at the strategic juncture of the Jezreel and Jordan valleys. After defeating Saul and his sons on Mt. Gilboa, the Philistines hanged their bodies on the walls of Beit-Shean. (1 Sam 31:10-12). During the time of Jesus; Scythopolis was one of the chief cities of the Decapolis a league of ten cities sharing Greek culture and government. Drive along the Jordan Valley, via Gilgal where the children of Israel crossed the Jordan River. Pass by Jericho the first town taken by Joshua and view Mount temptation. Drive via the wilderness pass by the Inn of the Good Samaritan and onto Bethany home of Martha and Lazarus. The day ends in Jerusalem the city of the great King (Psalms 48:2). Day 6: Jerusalem The day begins with a visit to the Israel Museum and the Shrine of the Book in time to enjoy the Dead Sea Scrolls presentation, which is an absolute miracle of God’s preserved word. Next is a most emotional visit to the Yad Vashem new Museum commemorating the WW2 Holocaust. We will also drive by the Knesset the Israeli Parliament view the Menorah the official emblem of Israel. Drive to nearby Bethlehem, The nativity site of our lord. Visit the 4 th century Basilica built over the Manger, view the Shepherds fields and return to Jerusalem. Day 7: Jerusalem Walk where Jesus walked. We will start the day with an emotional visit to the Garden Tomb. Then continue to Mt. Zion where we visit the house of Caiaphas the high priest and where Jesus was kept in custody before his trial (Mark 14:53). We will also visit the “Upper Room” where the disciples had their last dinner with Jesus. Next, we visit the Pools of Bethesda and the Church of St. Ann (this is the location Jesus had healed a man in the waters). We move on to the Judgment Hall of Pilate where Christ stood bound as a prisoner. While walking along the Via Dolorosa, we are reminded of His way of suffering. The Church of the Holy Sepulcher is last for the day, which was built over Golgotha and the crucifixion site. Day 8: The Old City Begin the day with a panoramic view of Jerusalem, Mount Moriah and the Dome of the Rock from atop of the Mount of Olives. Then the Garden of Gethsemane, walk between the ancient olive trees, read the scriptures of Jesus' prayer while taking time for personal reflection. We will then enter the old city through Zion Gate. Walking through the Jewish Quarter, the Roman Cardo, and the Temple Institute where we will see replicas of objects that where once in the ancient temple and finally we will arrive at the Western (Wailing) Wall. We will visit the Southern wall excavations, the Davidson center dedicated to the history and learning of the great Temple. We will visit the large staircase leading to the Temple. Day 9: Massada, Dead Sea Scrolls, Ein Gedi Our day begins with a cable car ride to the mountain top fortress of Massada. Here our guide will treat you to the history of the famous zealot stand. Afterwards proceed to the oasis of Ein Gedi, “Spring of the Goat” which is located on the western shore of the Dead Sea. Because of its warm climate and abundant supply of water the site developed a reputation for its abundant plants and date palm groves. Ein Gedi is where King David hid from Saul. Next you will visit Qumran Caves this is the location where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1948 and written over 2000 years ago. Here you will have a chance to float on the Dead Sea, which is an experience you will not want to miss. Day 10: Emmaus, Jaffa and Tel Aviv AM Free for last minute shopping or repeat visits. By noon time we will check out of our Hotel. We will drive from Jerusalem towards Jaffa, we will visit Biblical Emmaus, and it was on the road to Emmaus that two disciples met Jesus in his first appearance after the Resurrection. Arriving in Emmaus, they broke bread with him before realizing his true identity. Continue to the modern city of Tel Aviv built in 1909 by the first Jewish pioneers. Drive through the city center and the Mediterranean Promenade. Continue to the old city of Jaffa also by the Mediterranean shores. While walking around the narrow lanes, we visit the house of Simon the Tanner where St. Peter had a vision. Jaffa was the port city used by King Solomon to import Cedar trees from Lebanon when he built the first Temple in Jerusalem. This is the conclusion of a memorable trip with our final dinner with all your peers near by.
